Community & Contribution

Verdant Privacy is building a public good. While the initial development is spearheaded by the core team, the long-term vision is a fully decentralized, community-owned protocol.

Governance (DAO)

Upon the launch of Mainnet v1.0, control over the protocol parameters will transition to a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Token holders will vote on key issues, including:

  • Protocol Fees: determining the service fee for using the routing network.

  • Shadow Node Incentives: deciding how much network emission goes to node operators.

  • Treasury Grants: funding new features or marketing initiatives.

Open Source Contributions

The Verdant Protocol codebase (smart contracts and SDK) will be open-sourced to allow for public verification and improvement. We welcome contributions from developers in the Solana ecosystem.

Areas for Contribution:

  • Client SDK: Improving the TypeScript library for easier integration.

  • UI/UX: Designing new themes or visualization tools for the Command Center.

  • Translations: Localizing the documentation and interface for global users.

Bug Bounty Program

Security is paramount. Before Mainnet, we will launch an incentivized Bug Bounty program. White-hat hackers and security researchers will be rewarded for identifying vulnerabilities in:

  • The Split Engine logic.

  • The Intent verification process.

  • The Shard key derivation method.
